here we got:

EIII

answering some questions. We have already observed his electronic / noise / experimental / industrial work here.

[1. IDEA]

The A. O.: The track from “Refractions” that we prefer is “Refraction 4”. Can you tell us how it came to light?

EIII: A little over a year ago, I was recording underwater sounds in the river that runs through the city where I live. The bubbling of the water, the trapped air released by my steps, and the occasional jet ski or motorboat formed the foundation of the piece. Later, I added layers of synths to build on that.

[2. CREATION]

■ The A. O.: How do you usually approach composition? Do you start with a concept, a sound, a state of mind or what else? How do you generally proceed from the initial seed to the complete work?

EIII: I usually start with a vague concept of what I want the next pieces to sound like, and then I search for sounds that fit it. Once I find a sound I enjoy, I listen to it repeatedly and begin to visualize where I could take it compositionally. From there, I add layers of prerecorded sounds or record new elements for the piece.

[3. FEEDBACK]

■ The A. O.: What do you hope listeners feel or experience when engaging with your music?

EIII: I hope to create soundscapes that provide a personal, individual experience for each listener.

[4. IDENTITY]

■ The A. O.: In a world saturated with digital music content, how do you try to keep your sound distinct and personally meaningful?

EIII: I have, so to speak, personal relationships with the sounds I use in my pieces. I usually spend a lot of time tinkering with them until I feel like they fit the soundscape I want to create.

[5. INFLUENCES]

■ The A. O.: Name 3 albums that you consider relevant to your musical path and why.

EIII: [not answered, ed.]

[6. REGARDS]

■ The A. O.: Leave us with a quote you love.

EIII: “you i i i everything else” (Bob and Alice – Meta chatbots)
